The Lugger L6108A2 combines brute power with state-of-the-art
features to give you a solid engine that performs fl awlessly. With its raw power
and long-life dependability, it offers the unsurpassable reliability
and confi dence of the trusted Lugger name.
Endowed with 436 cubic inches (7.145 Ltr.) of displacement and a
superb power-to-weight ratio, the Lugger L6108A2 produces 410 hp
and over 1,000 foot pounds of torque. Instead of a conventional highway engine
designed for inconsistent loads, the L6108A2 is built for continuous operation. This
in-line six cylinder can handle even the most relentless
loads for long stretches.
Components such as isolated valve covers, liquid cooled turbo, and
viscous crankshaft damper all work to reduce noise and vibration. Replaceable
cylinder liners allow economical repairs or onboard rebuilding. The reentry
combustion chamber design reduces emissions and smoke.
And a thermostatically controlled freshwater oil cooler dissipates heat
and reduces thermal breakdown of oil. Maintenance is quick and easy
since all service points are gathered on one side.
When other engines need replacing, the Lugger L6108A2’s design
and marinization allow it to continue to log hours. Year after year, the
L6108A2’s components resist harsh marine elements. Its freshwater
cooled exhaust manifold, aftercooler, and gear oil cooler extend engine
life. Superior engineering has minimized belts and hoses, increasing reliability.
And a mechanical fuel injection pump allows the L6108A2
to run without electronics or electricity. An impressive list of PTO and accessory
drive options are available so the L6108A2 can power a
variety of onboard demands.
